Cincinnati Enquirer comments on Democratic Candidates

by Surya on March 28, 2010

The Cincinnati Enquirer held their endorsement meeting a few weeks back. All three of us went and sat for an hour as we discussed health care, Jean Schmidt, government spending, and a host of other issues. I’m humbled by their thoughts so far.

Here’s what they said about me:

But a newcomer, Surya Yalamanchili, has racked up impressive support among party officials, and he demonstrates an equally impressive grasp of the issues.

A former Procter & Gamble brand manager and one-time “Apprentice” contestant, Yalamanchili is personable and polished.

While it’s not an overt endorsement, their statements about my opponents consist of saying that David Krikorian “enjoys name recognition” and that Jim Parker is “passionate about health care issues”. I agree wholeheartedly with both those statements.

This is latest sign of the clear choice in the primary. There’s a reason prominent Democrats have all only backed our campaign. There’s a reason why after speaking to all the candidates the Enquirer emphasizes my grasp of the issues as well as comments on electability with voters. We just need to continue to spread the word ahead of the May 4th primary.

The fact that The Enquirer made positive comments about your candidacy is truly just short of an endorsement by a conservative leaning newspaper. GREAT WORK!

You embarrass yourself with these ignorant and hateful comments and you probably don’t even realize it. That’s sad.

I absolutely love Chili’s refreshing attitude and no nonsense approach to “serving the people.” My only regret is that I don’t live iin Ohio so that I can vote for him. My NKY friends and I made signs of our own to put in our cars when we drive in the Cincinnati area.
